It might be because you overdrained the battery, or the phone just went too hot and discharged itself... for whatever reason, your dear smartphone just went into coma and you're desperate to keep it alive. You used the charger, kept pressing the start button, plugged it to the computer, shook it, shouted at it... but na-da...you feel like it's time to send it to the phone doctor or worst case scenario... funeral (RIP phone) *sob*
But wait, you haven't done CPR yet. So for us noobs, here's some simple steps to revive your HTC One... or whatever Android phone you have (It might work too, right?)
Basic reminder!
- While doing these, better put the phone in charge mode just in case your battery's totally dead.
- Ideally, it's better to charge it to the main outlet for more efficient energy, but in this case I suggest you plug it to the computer to easily detect its responsiveness
Troubleshooting tips:
1. Do a long press on the start button. *
2. Do a long press on the start button + volume down button *
3. Do a long press on the start button + volume down button while putting a very bright light on the sensor.
(I know its weird but it does work, I tell you) *
* long press = max 15 seconds or till the phone becomes responsive

Note:
- Keep repeating the steps till you get the result.
- Sometimes, it doesn't work when the battery has zero power. So if it's possible, wait till it charges to atleast 1-2% before you do the above procedure.

Now if nothing seems to work still, then its either your...
.... charger is faulty (damaged or the port is dirty)
.......... phone is damaged
............... or its battery life is over *sob*
And that means going to the repair centre or better yet buy a new one (Now it's really RIP phone (T-T) )

Important! As much as possible, never drain your battery to zero. It decreases battery life and there's a high chance that you'll experience this 'unresponsive phone' issue.
