Yesstyle Haul 2016: Cosmetics

I'm back!!!! It feels like forever since I've last posted here. I was a bit busy being lazy lol so I kinda neglected this blog. *Gomen gomen*

And oh, I sincerely apologize for late replies to comments. To be honest, I was like "Whoa! Someone finally responded!" Haha! Thank you, I highly appreciate it. I'll be looking forward to all your questions/feedbacks from now on!

Anyway, today's haul is about Korean cosmetics (or most of it). Don't expect a comprehensive review though. Like the usual, it's mostly pictures and descriptions.

Shade #21

This is my default BB cream brand. Our nearest Asian cosmetics shop have stopped supplying Korean cosmetics so I'm glad to find this in Yesstyle.

Why I like it:

- Unlike other BB creams, Missha has several shades that suits different skin tones. I'm a bit fair so #21 fits me. I've also tried #23 before. It's a bit darker for my complexion but it looks natural on me during summer.

- It's creamy. Perfect for dry skin,

- It has a dewy finish. (It looks more natural than matte)

Cons:

- It doesn't cover as well as a foundation. (For example, if you have freckles, the BB cream will only lighten it, not totally hide it)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought this out of curiosity. I can't really tell if it moisturizes my face. It's not like cream which leaves a slippery feel on your face.

To be honest, I feel 'icky' using this. It's like a hair gel which  feels cool on the skin but a bit sticky and watery... and it leaves the sticky-ness on my hands for a short while. And for a few minutes I have to endure that sticky-icky feeling before it dries out.

For some weird reason, my lip tint or bb cream doesn't blend well after I apply this. It's like this moisturizer leaves an invisible mask on my face.

I probably won't buy this again. I'll go back to my usual Cetaphil, I guess.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why I like it:

- It has a creamy texture

- It fits my skin tone  (I picked Natural Beige).

- Unlike other concealers, this one doesn't crease at all and I love it!

- It  decently lightens my freckles, red spots or pimples

Cons:

- It's not good in covering dark under eye circles.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like marshmallow at first glance (^O^)

Why I like it:

- It's cute and it's pink

Cons:
-  I realized that I could have bought a pack of sponges for 2.50 dollars in Daiso compared to 5 dollars just for a single piece. (Jeez I'm really a sucker for pink cute stuff. argh!)

----------------------------------------------------

I already used it, hence the brownish color on the brushes. lol

One use and it's broken....

Why I like it:

- It's cute and it's pink

Cons:
- Not durable. One brush has already detached from its body. I need to use sticky tapes to reattach it. (*sigh* when will I learn)

Seriously guys, it's a real cheapo. It's not worth it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Why I like it:

- It's cheap.

- It doesn't smudge!!!

- Nice color (French Latte)

Cons:

- No built -in sharpener. (And you need one)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why I like it:

- It has a creamy texture and blends well with my skin

It does the work. Nothing to complain, really.

----------------------------------------------------

Overall, I like the products though I should think twice before buying any pink or cute stuff ... especially if there's a cheaper or much better alternative. LOL

Yessytle Haul 2016: Tops

I'll make this quick and simple. Not much blah blah stuff, just pictures and short descriptions.

So I bought 3 tops and 1 dress-set from Yesstyle. It was a half yay and half nay for me. I'll show you why.

I've been skipping buying this coz the ad only shows the blouse. I don't know what it looks like when it is actually worn. However, because they sold this for 80% off, I finally decided to go for it. It only cost 9.48 aud so why not.

This top is popular in Yesstyle. I can see why they find it cute but unfortunately it's too big on my 4'11 petite frame.

The fabric is a bit starchy-stiff but maybe it'll be softer after washing. However, based from Yesstyle comment, they're worried about the painted-stripes as it could fade eventually. I don't really know. Personally, I think the prints would stay but maybe by gentle washing only.

And take note that the front is short. I'm not tall but when I raise my hand my tummy shows. I think this will be an exposed-tummy top for tall people (Even average-size I think)

Anyway, I just decided to use this as houseclothes. Tee-hee.

This is another top that I was doubting to buy. It looks cute on the model but might be a fail when you wear it. I mean, design-wise, I'm not really fond of green but the top looks so cute I just couldn't help myself but buy it.

Anyway, this was also on sale so I just paid 12.30 aud.

It looks almost identical to the Yesstyle ad except the fabric is waaaaay different. The difference wasn't too bad but seriously? False advertisement much?

In the Yesstyle image, it looks like it's made of soft cottony fabric. It actually show the cottony threads in the close-up picture.

However, in person, the fabric is really smooth, stretchable, polyester-ish type.

The color is not right as well. In the ad, it looks pine green. In person, it looks pear green which I probably wouldn't buy if I see it in the shop stalls.

Anyway, it seems ok on me so this will pass as outdoor clothes.

This one is a huge disappointment. I don't know if it's the blouse or it's me that is wrong here. Haha

Side-view looks ok. I actually find it appealing. However, front view is a disaster! (T-T)

I looks so shapeless here! And if you'll compare it from the Yesstyle ad, the shoulder cut should be bigger. This one looks like it's half-made. The strap should look thinner than this. I'll probably just wear it under a coat or jacket as extra layering for winter.

I'm glad I bought this on sale so I only paid 10.81 aud for this.

I think this is the most accurate outfit I've ever bought in Yesstyle. It is so cute and perfect, I'm so excited to wear this!

I'm so happy with this purchase. I bought it for 19.58 aud. It's a very good deal for its price. I wonder why it only has 4 reviews despite its almost 100 percent star rating.

-----------------------
Like the usual, buying from Yesstyle is tricky. It's either a win, a lose, or a meeeeeeeh. lol

Yesstyle haul 2016 - Rocho - Set: Long-Sleeved Bow-Accent Cardigan + Heart Print Knit Tank Top

Look! I've put the entire description of this product from Yesstyle hoping that other consumers might see this review.

Seriously, I wish Yesstyle has an option where other consumers can share a pic of their purchases, similar to Amazon.com and Aliexpress.

Apparently I've purchased another clothing as written in the title post.

As you noticed, I'm pretty disorganized with my flow of thoughts today. Anyway, I'll just show you the real life pic ok?

------------------------------------------

So here's the ad....

And here's what I've bought....

In this picture, the clothes look shapeless and boxier on me. It doesn't look that bad in the actual.

However, in contrary to what's shown in the ad, the pullover's neck line is not really that low which makes the tank top strap almost hidden.

I also noticed that in the ad, the sleeve-cut ends at the elbow part. In the actual, it ends at the shoulder.

But I think the back side is really cute, especially with these ribbons.

Another angle....

Also take note, the pullover in the ad seems it's made from a soft thin cottony fabric.

On the actual, it's more like a T-shirt type of fabric.

Suprisingly, I think the tank top alone is wonderful.

In general, the top set is just ok. There are some inconsistencies but I think the over-all look is still cute. I just wish they made the neck line lower like in the ad so it would look more flattering in the front side.

Just a tip: I'm normally an XXS-XS or size 6-8 in Australia but I picked the Large against the Medium  for a baggier look (same as the model in the ad).

A Yesstyle first!

So this is my first time to buy in Yesstyle. I bought this Los Angeles pinstripe shirt and a checkered navy blue sneakers.

Take note that this is not really a review but more of showing other customers what these stuff look like in real world (lol).

Before I start, I'm telling you now that I'm  a  4'11.5 (151.13 cm) petite lady and normally fits Australian size 6 and 8.

So here's the shirt.

Dodostyle - Pinstriped Baseball Short-Sleeve T-Shirt

And here's me trying to shamelessly imitate the model (Again just for comparison (^0^))

Original ad click here http://www.yesstyle.com.au/en/dodostyle-pinstriped-baseball-short-sleeve-t-shirt-navy-blue-one-size/info.html/pid.1035800670

Honestly, I tried to like it. But I really have an issue with the sleeves. They look too wide on my shoulders and looks a bit stiff too ( Maybe because I haven't washed it yet? or because I have narrow shoulders?). I even tried to iron them so it wouldn't look so 'wingy' but it still persists. And by the way this is a one size only shirt so... this is really it.

------------------------------

Now for the checkered sneakers.

Solejoy - Plaid-Trim Canvas Sneakers

Nothing to complain with the design. They look true to the picture.

My only issue is that the size is quite small for me. It does fit but there's not enough space for my toes I can almost feel the edges. I'm normally a size 5 in Australia so I bought a size 35. Well, some reviews did mention to go for a bigger size. I should have listened. I hope wearing socks would make this comfortable to wear. I can feel this hurting my feet if I walk for a long time (which I normally do). Too bad this was a clearance sale so I couldn't change it for a bigger size.

---------------
So to conclude this, it seems Yesstyle is a legit online shop. The products (design wise) are quite reliable. However, the size charting can be a bit misleading. You should really take note of the customer reviews. And I don't recommend buying clearance sales. I'm a bit lucky the shoes still fits me but it would be a big waste of moolah if it happened otherwise.

Last look :

It doesn't look too bad here. Maybe I can pull it off somehow.
